Still Fifteen Bucks
$14.99None of the eBooks announced or released at $14.99 have been college textbooks used in education. What’s been released so far don’t even have current print equivalents (despite listing “Print Length” in iBooks Store), they’re just demos to “ooh” and “ahh” at, not actual digital versions of textbooks being used in the wild.
Correct, however you did not specify college-level textbooks. You said “college” only once between the two posts, but it was in passing. The majority of the points your posts were concerning did not have any qualifiers.
The statement regarding print editions seems to be partially correct. The Environmental Science book, for instance, is the full version currently used in the wild. However, its source does not begin purely as a physical book, but rather a hybrid of digital and physical sources. The McGraw-Hill physics textbook, on the other hand, is a digital copy of this physical textbook. At any rate, they aren’t simply “demo” versions, as you say.
